RiOS 6.0 is going to be released
Posted On Oct 20, 2009 at at 3:08 PM by DophiRiverbed is going to release RiOS 6.0. Off course, there are some new features will be introduced in this version. Here are some highlights from the feature brief.
- Speed: RiOS 6.0 provides acceleration for Mac CIFS clients, Citrix ICA, SharePoint, SAP NetWeaver, Siebel CRM, even centralized Windows print service over WAN.
- Disaster Recovery and Applications - Tuned Optimization: RiOS 6.0 includes Adaptive Data Streamlining to dynamically allocate Steelhead appliance resources (disk, CPU, memory) to provide maximum performance for disaster recovery and applications.
- SSL Acceleration Enhancements: Enhancements include server IP autodiscovery, wildcards to quickly add a range of servers, and re-use of recent secure sessions for improved performance.
- Visibility and Manageability Enhancements: This include support for NetFlow v9, an XML SOAP API, pass through traffic reporting, optimization benefit reporting, transparency enhancements for stateful packet inspection firewalls, SSL encryption of inner channel communications, and easier set up of SMB signing compatibility even across multiple domains.
The detail information of RiOS 6.0 is not available yet. After the announcement, probably we can have trials for those new features.
